Blackberry sorbet
Cheapest, easiest, delicious & a source of fibre as well as vitamins C & K.
INGREDIENTS
Makes a big tub
1kg freshly gathered blackberries, frozen if out of season
500g golden caster sugar
juice of 1 lemon
Put the blackberries and lemon juice in a food processor and whizz, or in a bowl and puree using a hand blender.
Push through a fine sieve to catch all the pips. Combine with the rolled syrup and put in an ice cream machine to churn or works just as well in a large tuppaware remembering to churn a couple of times having left it for an hour in between. Leave to freeze.
Approximate cost £1.90 assuming you have picked your blackberries!
