Walker’s meatballs

Meatballs are the ultimate comfort food – delicious with flat bread & a dollop of yoghurt. Makes enough to feed 4, double the quantity & make a batch for the freezer.


500g beef or lamb mince, or a mixture
200g breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 teaspoon each ground coriander & cumin
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 finely chopped garlic clove
Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper

Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and shape into either approximately 15 medium sized balls (large golf balls) or 25 small balls.

Place on a baking tray and cook for 10-17 mins, depending on the size of your balls.

Serve with flatbread & a bowl of greek yoghurt with a swirl of olive oil, squeeze of half a lime & sprinkling of curry powder.
